Yes, Cirque du Soliel does it again with their second hit Las Vegas production. I know I always talk about value and the many overpriced shows in Vegas, so let's get this out of the way right now. I don't care if you have to save all year, spend the damn
money and see this show. Sure, it would be nice if it cost less, but it doesn't and I don't care. You're getting a real bargain when you trade one Ben Franklin for a cushy seat in the glorious showroom at the Bellagio.

'O' is a much darker, more theatrical (if that's possible) experience than Mystere, and it's no less satisfying. While Mystere focused more on the fantastic physical abilities of the performers, 'O' seems more concerned with their contribution to the complicated and intricate visual textures that make up the show. I use the word textures because 'O' takes place on, above, and within a stage that can transform from fully solid to fully liquid in a split second. Where acrobats were once tumbling across a dry floor, high divers will drop into an instantly deep lake. This constant transition between water and solid and the interaction of the sets and performers within those various conditions is what makes 'O' the unmatched spectacle that it is.
The unique theater surrounds you with surreal effects that include divers, synchronized swimmers, live singers and musicians, acrobats, contortionists, trapeze artists, and a full underwater crew of scuba divers that work in hiding for the entire show, except for one well-deserved and delightful appearance near the end. Lighting and sound are stellar, and as with all Cirque du Soliel productions, there is more to see than any person could possibly absorb in one sitting.
I can't say much more than... go see this show. Spend the money, have a nice dinner, relax and clear your mind - and I promise 'O' will waste no time filling it with memories wilder than your own imagination.
