It has taken a lot of time
to believe that Siegfried $ Roy are gone from the Las Vegas Strip but
even with the tragedy the Shows in Las Vegas must go on.

I keep this review online as it was written before the tragic event..
I really have a hard time reviewing this show, because I have to think more about the people that visit Las Vegas, and less about my own feelings. I LOVE magic - it's been a hobby of mine since I was a kid, and in my eyes David Copperfield is the master because he creates new and original illusions that no one else can do.
If that's the kind of magic you like, don't waste your money on Siegfried $ Roy (oops, a little freudian slip of the keyboard there...) Their show is a spectacular, massive, polished rock concert with a huge cast of dancers, elaborate costumes, loud music, a zillion lights, giant mechanical dragons (Vegas must have a company that specializes in mechanical dragons) and two flamboyant guys with Germain accents who do illusions that prove to be the least interesting part of the show.
That's why it's so hard for me to review Seigfried & Roy - not because it's that bad, but because the illusions are all "been there done that". I would be willing to recommend the show just for the staging, music and dance numbers, but at over
$100 plus a pop there are certainly other more entertaining things you could do here.
If money is not a major issue for you, or you aren't all that familiar with large-scale illusions, then by all means see this show because I guarentee you will not be disappointed. Everything that's done is done well, and Seigfreid and Roy still appear exuberant on stage. It's finely tuned entertainment, even if it's not entirely new.
