Blue Man Group
Review

This avant-garde show that has been a huge hit on the east coast mixes music, rhythm, unusual visuals, lots of humor and three completely blue men... It's bizarre and fantastic! It opened at the Luxor's 1,200-seat theater on March 1st and will hopefully hang around for a long time.

Prices: $59.50, $69.50

7 & 10 p.m. Wednesday - Monday
7 p.m. Tuesday

COMMENTS

  • Seating - The 1,200 seat Luxor theater is steeply raked and well laid out so the view from every seat is a good one. For this show, however, it's best to be as close as possible to see the subtle expressions and movements that make the show so funny. The best section is the first few rows of 'Poncho Seating' so named because there's a possibility of getting messy so they hand out plastic ponchos. Personally, I didn't see anyone getting very messy so I wouldn't worry about it too much. The next section is 'Main Floor' which is all good except for a small center section behind the main aisle which is really no better than the 'Mezzanine Seating' which should be avoided if possible - it's just too far away. Now, if there's only back row seats left and it's your only chance to go, then go. It's still worth seeing this show no matter where you sit!

  • Tickets - I was able to get tickets for a Wednesday night about two hours in advance, so chances are you can always get last-minute tickets. However, as noted above there are definite advantages to having better seats so I recommend reserving early to ensure the best seating. On the other hand, poncho seating is often available right up til showtime due to people's fear of getting messy. (Here's the secret only for VegasHeadliners.com visitors: You barely get messy, if at all. Snatch up those good seats!)
